What a helpful thread.

I have spent some time reading through treads on this web site. I think this is one that will resonate with me for some time. Also, on top of all the other sadness in my life, I am sad that I never got to "meet" coach Jon. It would appear that his family, and this family on this site, have had a great loss in such a wise person. I am glad that the coaches have kept this thread alive through all these years.

Even though this is over 3 years old now, I still think it is relevant. I am just over a year out from our first d-day, and I still think about this post to help me over some of the humps that are still on the road infront of me.

Just to let you all know-I edited the swear words, as I felt they could be triggering for some members. The gist is still there; I just took the edge off. Nothing else was edited.

Be well.

Mel, you only got some of the swear words. There is still a lot of f-words in the original posts by patty. But thank you for editing those out of Jon's posts.
