Recovery Nation

This was an interesting experience. Knowing that my husband has written a letter my natural thoughts go to wanting to see it however I have a fear that he is not being totally honest and actually putting everything down in the letter. I am grateful for this platform and excited about the opportunity to move through a process that is in alignment with the way both of us think which is that recovery is possible and that addiction of any kind is not a disease. I have found that I have not 4ven thought about this letter until tonight when going back to enter all of the work so far into our couples thread.

Exercise 1
The note above was based on the first exercise where my husband had to write a letter to include all of the sexual acts and acting out. I am open to this process and have not really thought about the letter so much I have thought about what he is doing and when. I find myself feeling trapped and not living in my purpose for fear that he will be cheating on me online or in person with other people. I also want to skip ahead

Exercise 2

This was a challenge for me I found myself feeling undeserving, weird and awkward even just thinking about my husband nurturing me. We did not do much I did not have him brush my teeth I think I was more resistant then he was. I did feel like we were jut going through the motions of the exercise and not really stepping into the space of my husband really just nurturing and taking care of me.

Early when we first started dating he bought me a massage for valentines day and said that I really needed to do something for me as I am always doing for other people. (I still have not gone for that massage). mainly because the salon is out of town. I have had many massages in my life

So my husband made dinner and if I were totally honest with myself I would say that we have not really completed this exercise. It will be interesting to hear Beach10's perspective. I would say that I was really resistant and then felt hurt that he did not make more of an effort. We even had a brief verbal exchange about it where my husband expressed that he was not just going through the motions...I'm not sure what my response was but I am sure it was less then acceptable.

Exercise Three

We have completed ans signed our partnership contract on May 23rd.
