Coaching Orientation
Welcome to Coaches Orientation. Your offer to volunteer your experience and insights is very much appreciated. It is our goal that you derive as much value as possible from this role, and the training was developed with that in mind. Orientation is the first phase of training, followed by three months of monitoring and feedback. The material contained in this orientation is information that every coach must be familiar with (not necessarily memorize, but understand and know where to find if needed). During your orientation process, feel free to ask any questions about what you have read. There will be a coaching competency assessment that must be successfully completed prior to the three-month monitoring phase of training. Don't worry...the assessment isn't difficult, and we will make every effort to ensure that you are successful.
The information contained in this orientation is accessible to all coaches and coaches-in-training. In addition, you will have access to the coaches forum where you can ask questions, give and receive support, and discuss issues.
The orientation is divided up into five parts. Click on the links below to access each:
Part 1: Values and Philosophies Part 2: Boundaries for Healthy Coaching Part 3: Coaching Reference Guide Part 4: Coaching Skills and Tips
