Recovery Nation Live Online Community Training

Recovery Nation offers free online community training to help supplement your personal effort in the recovery and/or partner's workshop. If you are interested, click on the link below to register for that training session.

Remember, these trainings are NOT intended to replace your active effort throughout the workshop. They are a supplement to use in enhancing your workshop efforts. These trainings will not be passive 'sit back and learn' events--they will be active, community-driven learning experiences.

September/October

Because we are currently undergoing a major upgrade to the site, no trainings will be scheduled for September or October

What to expect

Trainings will last between fifteen to thirty minutes and will focus on the scheduled topic(s) only. After the initial training presentation, an open question and answer forum will follow. Questions will be answered first in relation to their relevance to learning the topic at hand. Specific personal situations will NOT be focused on--unless that issue can be used as a learning tool for all. If you are seeking personal guidance, please consider either the community forums, personal coaching or participating in an online support group.

How to register

1. If you are interested in attending a particular training session, click on the link above. You will be sent an automated registration that includes a link to the session and an access code. You will need to be on your computer throughout this session to hear, talk and view shared documents, power-points, etc. Note: if you don't have speakers and a microphone attached to your computer, you also have the option of calling in to the session via phone. Regular toll charges (to your phone company, not to us) would apply.

2. A few minutes prior to the group, click on the meeting link and enter the assigned code. Because this is a private, secure meeting, you will also need to enter the special password that was sent to you directly from Jon. This will be sent the day prior to the meeting.

3. CoachJon will direct the initial discussion, but this will not be a typical academic learning environment--it will be one focused on supporting personal growth and development for each participant. Volunteers to lead future topics will be encouraged--but not pressured.

A Few Odds and Ends

*Within each session, every group member will have the opportunity to share openly, ask personal questions, etc. The group will be moderated so that no one person dominates the entire session.

* Please Register at Least One Day in Advance

You are asked to register for each session you plan on attending at least one day in advance. This is out of courtesy to me and to allow me time to send each of you the unique password to the session you have registered for. These are free group meetings and if three or more people register, I will be more than happy to conduct the session. Otherwise, I would much prefer to spend that time with my family or playing basketball, golfing, tennis, etc.
