Previously, efforts to offer free, web-based support groups ran into obstacles (linear texting, um, "technically challenged" participants, simultaneous postings, disconnections, etc.) that made the effort more trouble than it was worth. The value of such ongoing group support, however, cannot be denied and it is the major piece of the recovery and healing puzzle that is missing from RN.

With mainstream Internet phoning, video conferencing and other technological advances over the past few years, it is time to see if a new solution may be found. And so, we would like to recruit a group of ten partners and ten people in recovery (of varying backgrounds and technological experience) to help us explore new possibilities in this area.

Pilot groups will be held on Sunday evenings from 9pm-10pm CST; And on Wednesday afternoons from 12p-1p CST. We will begin with a group orientation when I have ten confirmed registrations for one of the time slots.
