Pulled from the BBC news web site

The BBC's Sangita Myska has been meeting people who say they've suffered from sex addiction, in order to understand whether it really exists, and if so, what it is.

She concluded

I no longer believe it's important whether the condition is called an addiction or not - because all of them clearly need help to solve a problem that is wrecking their lives.

In my view, sex addicts primarily hurt themselves and their partners

Does sex addiction exist?
The World Health Organization recently added Compulsive Sexual Behaviour Disorder to its list of recognised disorders
• The UK's National Health Service doesn't recognise sex addiction as an illness - and doesn't keep official statistics
• The NHS notes that addiction is most commonly associated with gambling, drugs, alcohol and nicotine - and adds: "being addicted to something means not having it causes withdrawal symptoms"
• Private clinics in the UK claim that hundreds of people, if not thousands, approach them every year for help

Fortunately we also have RN, God bless Coach Jon for that

There is a pod cast associated with the article but I have not yet listened to it hence, because of the potential risk of it being triggering, have not posted its link,
My advice to anyone that does listen and finds it to be triggering is to stop and then delete it immediately, do not continue to listen to “test your resolve”
Additionally highlight the triggering in the forum

Remember recovery is more than abstinence
Every transition begins with an ending
Do not confuse happiness with seeking pleasure
stay healthy keep safe
